Application Process

Who can apply?

The MSc GUH follows an interdisciplinary approach and addresses professionals from different backgrounds such as:

medicine, public health, social sciences, health economics, urban planning, psychology, political science and anthropology among others

The course is open for applicants worldwide. Applications from developing countries are particularly encouraged.

Candidates with working experience in low and middle-income countries in a relevant field are preferably accepted.

Every interested person with the following requirements can apply:

  • Graduates of a relevant field (see above) holding a higher academic degree

     (minimum 4 years of academic full time studies)

  •  Working experience in a relevant field
  •  Proficiency in English language

 

Which documents are necessary?

 

  • A fully completed Application Form
  • A passport photo
  • Typed Curriculum Vitae for instance in "Europass Formate"
  • Letter of Motivation explaining your personal motivation and future plans regarding this course
  • A scanned copy of all diplomas/certificates awarding relevant university degrees
  • A scanned copy of all official academic transcripts
  • For German medical doctors: please send: „Zeugnis über die Ärztliche Prüfung
  • Proof of proficiency in English, if not a native speaker, e.g. TOEFL (550 paper / 213 computer / 72 - 94 online), IELTS (5+), DAAD (a, b or c in all categories), Cambridge (FCE, CAE, or CPE), PTE Academic, telc University B2-C1, TOEIC or OOPT.
    Due to the Coronavirus pandemic, we accept TOEFL Home Edition and IELTS Indicator Test. For security reasons, we recommend TOEFL Home Edition

  • Course fees: Please be aware that the tuition fees are € 12,000. Funding situation. In case you are self-financed please submit bank statement proving that you have enough funds to cover your studies (minimum € 5.000) and please make sure that the currency is mentioned on the statement. If you are sponsored by your employer or were awarded a scholarship, please enclose a copy of the official notification. If a private person is sponsoring you, please send proof by his/her bank statement and a signed confirmation letter
  • A scanned copy of your passport (only copy the page with your picture and where your name appears)

 Applicants will be notified of admission/rejection in May.

 

DAAD EPOS Scholarship Application Procedure:

A limited number of scholarships will be provided to deserving candidates by the DAAD EPOS.

Students who are eligible and wish to apply for the EPOS scholarship must send all documents required by our program as well as the scholarship before 15. October 2021 (applications for the academic year 2022/2023).
